1. Acceptance of Terms
By registering for Bold India Hackathon 1.0 (“the Event”), you and your team agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions in full. If you do not agree, you must not register or participate.
These terms are issued by Bold India Platforms Private Limited(CIN: U85499PN2025PTC246360), hereinafter referred to as “the Organiser” or “the Company.”
2. Eligibility
The Event is open to individuals and teams of up to 4 members. Solo participation is permitted.
Participants must register by the last registration date of 5 June 2026.
By registering, all team members confirm they are eligible to participate and that the information provided is accurate.
3. Intellectual Property — Code & Submissions
All code, models, dashboards, datasets, documentation, and any other work created, submitted, or presented during the Event (“Submissions”) become the exclusive intellectual property of Bold India Platforms Private Limited immediately upon submission.
Participants assign all intellectual property rights, including copyright, patent rights, and trade secret rights, in their Submissions to the Company on a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free basis.
The Company reserves the right to use, modify, distribute, commercialise, or incorporate any Submission into its products, services, or proprietary platform without further consent or compensation to the participant.
Participants warrant that their Submissions are original, do not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights, and do not include proprietary code from their current employer or any third party.
The Company may conduct a full code review of all Submissions at any time. Participants must cooperate with such review and provide access to code repositories as requested.
By participating, you acknowledge that your submission becomes Company IP. You retain no ownership rights over any code or work product produced during or submitted to the Event.
4. Judging & Winner Declaration
The Organiser's decision on winners is final, binding, and not subject to appeal or dispute. No correspondence will be entered into regarding judging outcomes.
Judging will be conducted by a panel appointed by the Organiser. Judging criteria are: Technical Depth (30%), Problem Relevance (25%), Insight Quality (25%), and Presentation Clarity (20%).
The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify any team found to have violated these terms, plagiarised work, or engaged in any form of misconduct.
The Organiser may, at its sole discretion, withhold prizes if no Submission meets the required standard.
Winners consent to their name, team name, and submission details being published publicly by the Company across its website, social media channels, email newsletters, and any other communication medium chosen by the Organiser.
5. Prize Distribution
Prizes will be distributed digitally within 14 working days of the winner announcement.
Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash alternatives unless otherwise stated.
Winners are solely responsible for any applicable taxes on prize money received.
6. Code of Conduct
Participants must maintain professional conduct throughout the Event.
Any form of harassment, plagiarism, cheating, or misconduct will result in immediate disqualification.
Teams found using pre-built solutions, third-party proprietary code without authorisation, or AI-generated code falsely presented as original work will be disqualified.
7. Hiring Opportunity — No Commitment
Winning a prize or participating in Bold India Hackathon 1.0 does NOT constitute, imply, or guarantee any offer of employment, internship, or engagement with Bold India Platforms Private Limited. There is absolutely no commitment for a full-time or part-time role.
Bold India Hackathon 1.0 is designed to identify talented individuals. Top-performing participants and winners may be invited to enter our hiring process — this is an opportunity, not a guarantee.
Any hiring invitation extended to participants or winners is entirely at the sole discretion of Bold India Platforms Private Limited, based on current business requirements, team needs, budget availability, and role openings at the time.
Being invited to a hiring round, completing any stage of the hiring process, or winning a prize in this hackathon does not create any obligation on the Company to make an offer of employment.
The full hiring process — should an invitation be extended — includes but is not limited to: technical interview(s), aptitude assessment, cultural fit evaluation, background verification (BGV), reference checks, and any other screening steps as required by the Company at its discretion.
Roles being considered (if applicable) include but are not limited to: Data Analyst and Software Engineer. The specific role, level, compensation, and terms of any potential employment will be determined solely by the Company at the time of any offer.
Participants who enrol in, compete in, or win any prize in this hackathon explicitly acknowledge and accept that no employment relationship, contractual obligation, or reasonable expectation of employment is created by virtue of their participation or performance in the Event.
The Company reserves the right to not extend any hiring invitation to any participant, including prize winners, without providing any reason.
8. Limitation of Liability
The Company shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from participation in the Event. The Company's total liability is limited to the registration fee paid.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Pune, Maharashtra.
